We Care About Our Community

Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is a proud supporter of Barbados and its local communities.

In addition to the generation of financial activity and foreign exchange, Limegrove directly and indirectly employs and contracts the services of approximately 400 people.

In addition, Limegrove participates in a number of activities and gives to wide-ranging causes that benefit the community.

Our Partnership with the Barbados Community Foundation

Through a corporate social responsibility program with our charity partner, the Barbados Community Foundation, Limegrove supports local community initiatives. Limegrove regularly raises funds for many charitable causes, which are administered by the Foundation.

How We Give

Using space at Limegrove is an easy way for associations and charities to build grassroots support for their causes. Beyond donating funds, Limegrove also supports registered charities and associations by offering concessions on event space.

In addition, The Optimist Club of Barbados benefits from a paid-parking and contribution system that is in effect on Friday nights, the Centre’s busiest period of the week.

Limegrove supports local artisans by regularly hosting craft fairs, which give talented craftsmen and craftswomen the opportunity to showcase and sell locally manufactured goods.

Meet Marge

Limegrove is very proud to be home to Marge, our cow sculpture, and the most recent addition to the Palm Courtyard. Marge is an example of “art in motion.”

We decided to bring her to Limegrove not only to remind us of our site’s humble beginnings as a cow pasture, but also to serve as a symbol of our role within the wider community.

In November 2014, the first “Marge” received a moo-velous makeover from local artist Catharine Cummins. Marge was then sold with part proceeds from the sale of the bespoke sculpture being directed to charity through the Barbados Community Foundation.

Limegrove is now pleased to welcome back Catharine Cummins for the makeover of Marge #2 and visitors to the Centre are encouraged to come and see Marge’s makeover LIVE.

The Bigger Picture

Limegrove is proud to partner with the Barbados Photographic Society, a non-profit group dedicated to fostering the art of photography. Through this collaboration, we celebrate and support the arts in the Barbados community.

Many of the Society’s photos, which capture the energy and beauty of Limegrove, are featured on this website and in other brand projects.

Our team extends a special thank-you to these members of the Barbados Photography Society, whose work is featured widely on limegrove.com.
